Blog Information and Guidelines
Introduction and Purpose
Welcome to the "Petrucci Sibling Memories" blog. Membership is for the Petrucci Siblings (only). Paul is the administrator. Each separate article is called a "post."
The purpose of this blog is to provide a repository for a specific type of memory: one that a sibling might tell over the dinner table to the others. This means that the event would have happened when some or all of us lived in the same house.
The longer term vision of the blog is to provide stories that our loved ones might enjoy when we have shuffled off this mortal coil. (That phrase is offered for inspiration - see "Hamlet.")
Guidelines for the Stories
To match this vision, the posts should follow certain guidelines. They are:
1. The action of the story would took place during the time we lived in Brentwood or Laurel.
2. The story might involve more than one sibling or a parent and a sibling, but it can also be about something that happened to one of us personally. Think about events around the dinner table that answers the question, "What happened to you today?"
For example, that means the event might have taken place while we were at Saint James, Atholton, or DeMatha.
3. Preferably the tale told shows something about the teller: a friendship, a special event in their life, etc. Extra points if it included other people that some of us knew.
Note that in my original email I was thinking that the stories should not be about the Dinner Theater or college life, because we weren't all around the dinner table during those days. So let's leave those out of scope for now. It would be great, though, if we could capture these posts in another blog.
Labeling the Post, and More Info About Posting
When you have completed writing the post, give it at least one Label. Look to the right of this page and you'll see a section called Labels that shows the Labels that have been created so far (in all posts). You should enter a Label for each family member mentioned in your post, and for place names (like a school name). You might also give the post a Label that represents a recurring theme, e.g. "Family Dinner" or "Holiday" or "Lesson Learned" or "Sports."
(For guidelines on how to label a post, as well as on creating and editing posts, see here.)
